Terms of Use
Effective March 8, 2026
These terms govern your use of ScanForge for QR code generation, analytics, and related features.
Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using ScanForge, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Service description
ScanForge provides QR code generation, short-URL redirection, scan analytics, and related product features. Users can create static and dynamic QR codes that encode URLs, text, contact cards, Wi-Fi credentials, and other supported content types.
The service is a QR code generation and analytics product. It is not a guarantee that generated QR codes will remain scannable by every reader application, or that redirect targets will always be reachable.
Authorized use only
You must not use ScanForge to generate QR codes that link to unlawful, deceptive, harmful, or abusive content. You are solely responsible for ensuring that the content encoded in your QR codes is lawful and does not infringe on the rights of others.
You must not use ScanForge to conduct phishing, distribute malware, impersonate others, or redirect users to harmful destinations.
Accounts and security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for activity that occurs through your account.
We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe your account is being used in a way that creates legal, operational, billing, or security risk.
QR codes, content, and limitations
QR codes generated by ScanForge encode user-provided content or redirect through short URLs managed by the service. ScanForge does not validate, endorse, or guarantee the safety or availability of redirect targets.
You remain responsible for the content you encode, the destinations you configure, and determining whether the generated QR codes meet your requirements.
No warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, ScanForge is provided on an as-is and as-available basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, or complete functionality.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, ScanForge and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill, data, contracts, or opportunities arising out of or related to the service.
If liability cannot be excluded, any aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid to ScanForge for the service during the 3 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or EUR 100 if that amount is higher.
Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless ScanForge and its operator from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of your misuse of the service, content you encode in QR codes, or your breach of these Terms.
Subscriptions, billing, and refunds
Paid features are billed through Stripe and may renew automatically until canceled. You are responsible for managing your subscription and payment method through the provided billing flow when available.
Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable and we do not guarantee refunds for partial periods, unused time, or dissatisfaction with features or uptime.
Availability and changes
We may add, remove, suspend, or modify product features, pricing, or technical behavior at any time without guaranteeing that any particular feature will remain available.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate access immediately if we believe your use of the service is unlawful, abusive, risky, or inconsistent with these Terms. You may stop using the service at any time.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on this page applies from its stated effective date unless a later date is specified.
